My name is Rashmi Praja. When I was small we were very poor and lived in a village. At certain times of the year food was very scarce and often someone from a family would go into the jungle to look for edible roots. One day my father did this and was attacked by an elephant. He was seriously injured and was in the hospital for three months.
I was in the house with my mother and baby brother. One day my mother took my baby brother and locked me inside. To this day we do not know where she went or why. Maybe she was trafficked. I was locked in the house and was only around two years old at this time, for around three days I cried not able to do anything until someone passing eventually heard my cry.
The Adventist pastor took me home and took care of me for about two years but his salary was very little and he really could not afford to feed me, so when he spoke to one of the workers from the 3 Angels program in Pokhara he said he would bring me to one of the 3 Angels childrens homes.
My father is still not able to walk properly so it is not possible for him to car) for me. I have now been in Pokhara for more than a year and I am very happy. I go to school and I love my Home Parents and all the special brothers and sisters that I have here
