Standing With Nepal: Responding Where the Need Is Greatest

A Nation in Crisis
On August 26, 2026, a devastating flash flood swept through communities along Nepal’s Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river systems, leaving widespread destruction in its path. Homes, roads, bridges, businesses, and essential infrastructure were damaged, while thousands of families were displaced and many remain separated from their loved ones. The disaster has continued to take a heavy toll, with more than 1,400 deaths reported and thousands still missing.
The impact has reached far beyond the immediate loss of homes and property. Government figures indicate that approximately 84,270 people across 17 municipalities in six districts have been affected. Many of these communities are located in Nepal’s rural hill regions, where 67.4% of the population depends on agriculture for their livelihood. Damage to farmland, crops, livestock, and access routes therefore threatens not only immediate needs, but also the ability of families to rebuild their lives in the months ahead.
3 Angels Nepal Responds
In the midst of this crisis, 3 Angels Nepal has mobilized to support families affected by the disaster. The response is focused on providing practical assistance to communities facing immediate needs and helping relief reach areas where access remains difficult.
Working alongside local authorities and responding to needs identified on the ground, the relief effort is providing essential supplies to affected communities. As the situation continues to develop, the team is working to ensure that assistance reaches people who have been most impacted by the floods.
Relief Efforts Underway
One of the immediate priorities has been providing warmth and basic necessities to families who have lost access to their homes and belongings. As part of the ongoing response, quilts have been handed over to the local government for distribution to people affected by the disaster.
The supplies are also being directed toward Rasuwa, one of the areas most severely affected by the flooding. Reaching communities there remains a significant challenge. Extensive damage to roads and bridges has disrupted normal access to several parts of the district, making the transportation of relief supplies difficult.
Because road access to Rasuwa is currently unavailable in the area being served, the quilts will be transported by helicopter. This will allow essential supplies to reach communities that cannot currently be reached by conventional road transport.
Continuing the Mission of Relief
For 3 Angels Nepal, the relief effort is about more than delivering supplies; it is about standing alongside families during one of the most difficult moments of their lives. Through coordination with local authorities and continued work on the ground, the organization is helping bring essential support to communities affected by the floods, including those in areas that remain difficult to reach
With communities still recovering from the destruction and many families facing an uncertain road ahead, the relief effort remains focused on bringing essential support where it is needed most.
The waters may have receded, but for many families, the recovery is only beginning. 3 Angels Nepal continues to stand alongside those affected, working to bring practical help, hope, and support to communities as they begin the long process of rebuilding
